Georgia's oldest working courthouse, until 2001

Crawford's 1832 courthouse in Knoxville served the county for 169 years and was the oldest courthouse still in use anywhere in Georgia when it was finally taken out of service in 2001. The checklist covers timing and the funds requirement.

The working courthouse is at 100 GA Highway 42 South, a different road from the US 80 address the historic building carries, so a search returning the Knoxville courthouse on US 80 is pointing at the wrong one. Foreclosure notices publish in The Georgia Post. Crawford borders Bibb, Peach and Monroe, all of which are live on the platform.
